5 REASONS YOU SHOULDN'T SNEAK ALCOHOL ON A CRUISE
1. It’s embarrassing- Cruise lines will leave a note in your bag if they have confiscated something and even worse if your bag is locked they bring you to a room for you to open it… All eyes glaring at you!
2. Other passengers won’t be happy with you- Bag check-in is usually a VERY long line, and when you try to sneak in alcohol, you are holding up everyone else from beginning their vacations. Expect some very dirty looks then and if they see you again during your stay.
3. You lose money- When it gets confiscated, you lose the booze inside, and how much that costs you as well as whatever you have put the booze into and some people are creative. Maybe a personalized flask… yeah, that’s gone.
4. You are in bigger trouble if you are underage- If you are cruising out of Miami, which is one of the more popular embarkation ports, you must be 21, the minimum dirking age. You face the confiscation of the alcohol and risk the chance of you being disembarked if you don’t follow the rules.
5. Find out if your cruise line allows one bottle- Some cruise lines allow one bottle of champagne or wine. Instead of trying to smuggle it, make sure you can before you go. And keep in mind if you do, you will have to pay a fee. It might just be better and cheaper to buy the alcohol package or a bottle onboard.
