3 NEW SHIPS DEBUTING IN SPRING 2018
SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS
The Symphony of the Seas debuts in late March and is a sister-ship to the Harmony of the Seas. The symphony includes the Ultimate Abyss, which is a waterslide that runs 216 feet long that runs through 10 decks onboard. Each tunnel is dark with flashing lights and an audio system, truly the waterslide to end all waterslides. The Symphony has a fresh new boardwalk featuring sports bars and arcades. The Symphony is also equipped with a laser tag area, an ice rink and a full production of "Hairspray" in the theater. The Symphony will sail the Mediterranean in the spring and summer of 2018, then will head to the Caribbean where it will stay.
CARNIVAL HORIZON
The Carnival Horizon will debut in mid-April and will feature the Skyride, a pedal bike suspended in the air touring the entirety of the ship. It will also feature SkyCourse ropes course and an IMAX theater. As for dining, in addition to their sister-ship Carnival Vista, the Horizon will have a hibachi teppanyaki restaurant, a Guy's Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Q Smokehouse and Brew House, with dishes created by celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The Horizon will sail some Mediterranean cruises before heading to New York for a summer in Bermuda and the Caribbean. after the summer, it will reappear in Miami to begin longer Caribbean cruises in September of 2018.
Norwegian Bliss
Norwegian Bliss is the third addition to the cruise lines Breakaway-Plus class. The Bliss will feature a two-level electric go-kart racetrack as well as an open-air laser tag course. There will be a large Aqua Park and a kid's splash area. The Waterfront on the Bliss will feature 13 restaurant and bars and "Jersey Boys" will headline the main theater. The Bliss will launch in late April and will travel between Alaska and the Caribbean for 2018-2020 seasons.
