NEW LUXURY CRUISE LINE: RITZ-CARLTON YACHT COLLECTION
The Ritz-Carlton has now announced a new cruise collection to match their luxury reputation but at sea. The accommodations on these new collections include 2 owner’s suites, 12 loft suites, 18 grand suites, 27 signature suites and 90 terrace suites. The loft suites are duplex’s, with their beds being located on the bottom level. The ship will accommodate up to 298 passengers.
The Ritz-Carlton also released some pricing for their 7-day itinerary in the Mediterranean which will start at $5600, setting them in line with other luxury cruises. The Ritz-Carlton wanted to set them apart from the market making their premiums slightly higher. In comparison with its direct competitors such as SeaDream and Silversea, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht is around the same price point but has an amazing upgraded vessel.
The yacht collection will start in the Mediterranean and voyage 7-10 day itineraries in 2019. It will then move to the Adriatic in the spring of 2020, where it will sail the Mediterranean and up through northern Europe and the Baltic before coming to Canada and New England in the fall of 2020. In addition, a second vessel will be added to itineraries in the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes as well as a third vessel that will sail through Asia.
Staff onboard will be trained through the Ritz-Carlton service tradition, so expect excellent service just as you would in a Ritz-Carlton hotel.
As for dining, there will be a main dining room seating 140 guests, an Asian fusion restaurant, a poolside grill, a seafood grill and Aqua. Aqua is being developed by a 3-star Michelin chef, Sven Elverfeld, who is a partner with the Ritz-Carlton in another one of their hotels. This will be a superb and luxurious dining experience.
Reservations for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht collection opens in May of 2018 in preparation for their sailing in 2019. Contact your travel agent or the Ritz-Carlton website for more details.
