5 CRUISE BOOKING MISTAKES
1. Don’t wait too long to book- Cruise lines are constantly advertising promotions for different lengths of time. There are longer promotions, and some one-week or one-day promotions. In addition, as the ships begin to sell out, the best prices begin to disappear. It is a good idea to plan the cruise you want with the stateroom you want and book as soon as possible. If you wait too long then what you want might go up in price or might disappear on you.
2. Picking the wrong cabin- pay careful attention to which cabin you are choosing. You may think that you can deal with anything, and you won’t be in the cabin for long, however, no one wants to be seasick or claustrophobic or woken from a dead sleep because your cabin is right next to the anchor. It is a better option to spend a little more and get a better cabin to have a better experience, especially for first-time cruisers, you want to enjoy your cruise not be scared to every cruise again.
3. Make sure you book the right year- Cruise itineraries are available for booking a few years in advance. Make sure you get your dates right and book the year that you want to go. No one wants to show up to their cruise a year in advance.
4. Don’t skim over the fine print- It is very important to check the fine print to meet all the requirements for booking. Make sure that there are no additional charges that you don’t agree with or don’t need. As well as paying final payments on time and being able to choose your cabin location. Make sure to read the fine print!
5. Compare prices- You might be influenced by the cruise line to book your cruise right away, however that always isn’t the best deal. Make sure to check other cruise websites that offer cruise packages or your local travel agents. Your travel agent might be able to offer you onboard credits or upgrades. Make sure to do your research before booking.
